Eco-Management Strategies and Policies Advanced Training Program (III) Launched in Beijing

The third session of the Advanced Training Program on Eco-Management Strategies and Policies, jointly run by the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Territory (IMET), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and Venice International University, was opened on October 24, 2005 in Beijing. 160 officials and professionals recruited from environmental sectors and enterprises of China attended the training program.

第三期“生态管理：战略与政策”高级培训班在京开课

2005年10月24日，由中国社会科学院、意大利环境与领土部和意大利威尼斯国际大学联合举办的第三期“生态管理：战略与政策”高级培训班在北京正式开课，来自中国国内环保机构和企业的160名学员参加了培训。中国社会科学院工业经济研究所副所长金碚研究员、中国社会科学院国际合作局副局长李薇研究员、都灵大学古丽诺教授、意大利环境与领土部中意环保合作项目北京项目管理办公室项目经理安杰利思先生等出席了开课典礼并致辞。

SIEEB Roof Covering Ceremony Held in Tsinghua University

The roof covering ceremony on the Sino-Italian Environment and Energy Efficient Building (SIEEB) was held in Tsinghua University on the afternoon of 23 October, 2005. Mr. Massimo Martinelli From the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Territory (IMET), Tsinghua University Vice President Zhang Fengchang and leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China attended the ceremony.

The project, funded by IMET, aimed to built SIEEB into a new demonstrative intellectualized green, ecological, environmental protection, and energy efficient office building. The construction of the SIEEB, with a total investment of 260 million RMB and a total area of 20,268 Square meters, was launched on April 2005, and is planned to be completed by the end of April 2006.

中意清华环境节能楼举行封顶仪式

2005年10月23日下午，清华大学举行了中意清华环境节能楼（SIEEB）结构封顶仪式。意大利环境与领土部Massimo Martinelli先生、科技部相关部门领导及清华大学副校长张凤昌等出席了封顶仪式。

清华大学环境节能楼项目是由意大利环境与领土部出资建设的节能示范型建筑工程。项目总投资2亿6千万元人民币，总建筑面积20268平方米，是一座智能化、生态环保型和能源高效率的新型办公楼。该项目于2005年4月正式动工，预计2006年4月底全部竣工。

China International Conference on CDM:
Italy to Cooperate with China for Implementing 100 CDM Projects in China within Two Years

On Oct. 20th, 2005, the 2-day China International Conference on Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) sponsored by the Chinese State Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) was opened in Beijing. The conference was supported by the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Territory (IMET), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Foundation (UNF), Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE). Mr. Jiang Weixin, vice minister of the NDRC, Mr. Khalid Malik, UN Resident Coordinator & UNDP Resident Representative and Mr. Francesco Nucara, vice minister of IMET appeared at the opening ceremony and addressed speeches respectively.

中意将在未来两年内合作开发100个CDM项目
——中国清洁发展机制（CDM）大会在京举行

2005年10月20日至21日，中国国家发展和改革委员会在北京主办了中国清洁发展机制（CDM）大会。意大利环境与领土部、联合国开发计划署、联合国基金会、挪威开发合作机构、中国国际经济技术交流中心等机构为本次大会提供资金支持。中国国家发展和改革委员会副主任姜伟新、联合国开发计划署驻华代表马和励、意大利环境与领土部副部长Francesco Nucara 等出席了大会开幕式并致辞。

Italian Venice International University Delegation Visited Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

A four-member delegation headed by Professor I. Musu, President of Venice International University paid a visit to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) on the morning of October 26, 2005. Vice President of CASS, Professor Chen Jiagui and other leaders from CASS warmly welcomed Professor I. Musu and his delegation in CASS.

意大利威尼斯国际大学代表团访问中国社会科学院

2005年10月26日上午，意大利威尼斯国际大学校长穆索（Musu）一行4人访问了中国社会科学院，中国社会科学院陈佳贵副院长等会见了代表团。

代表团主要参观了中国社会科学院图书大楼，浏览了大楼里的图书资料、重点期刊和信息处理中心的数据库，并对中国社会科学历年重大研究成果展览馆留下了深刻印象。

The Forum of Strategic Approaches to Regional Air Quality Management in China Held in Beijing

The Forum of Strategic Approaches to Regional Air Quality Management in China, organized by the State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) of China, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the United States of America, the Environmental Directorate of the European Commission and the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Territory (IMET), was held on October 24-26, 2005 in Beijing. Zhang Lijun, deputy director of the State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) and James Connaughton, chairman of the Council on Environmental Quality of the United States, delivered an opening speech at the forum.

区域空气质量管理国际研讨会在京召开

2005年10月24日至26日，中国国家环保总局、美国国家环境保护署、欧盟环境委员会和意大利环境与领土部联合举办了“区域空气质量管理国际研讨会”。中国国家环保总局副局长张力军、美国白宫环境质量委员会主席坎南顿等出席会议并致辞。

本次会议主要从空气质量管理、城市空气质量评估以及空气污染控制战略的成本-效益分析等几个方面进行了探讨，并相互借鉴了区域性空气污染控制管理经验，为国家、省级以及地方的政府决策者制定空气质量管理的综合战略提供了有效的依据。
