Italian pavilion shines the largest scale at CIEPEC 2005

The Ninth China International Environment Protection Exhibition and Conference (CIEPEC 2005) was held from June 7 to 10, 2005 at China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. As an important party, more than 30 Italian enterprises attended the Expo jointly organized by the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Territory (IMET) and Italian Trade Commission (ICE) in the form of Italian Pavilion. With an exhibition area of more than 700 Square meters, Italian Pavilion accounts for the largest scale among exhibitors which aroused great attentions from Environmental Protection communities at home and abroad. This is the second time for the Italian national pavilion to attend the Expo, with an enlarged 50% scale than that in 2003 (the 8th CIEPEC). Its significance, as well as one of the slogans “We Co-create the Future with Sino-Italian Cooperation on Environmental Protection” draw on numerous visitors to appreciate.

        2005年6月7日至10日,第九届中国国际环保展览暨会议(CIEPEC2005)在北京中国国际展览中心举办。意大利环境与领土部(IMET)和意大利对外贸易委员会(ICE)共同组织30多家意大利公司以国家展团的形式参加了此次展览,参展展台面积达700多平方米,继2003年第八届中国国际环保展又创最大规模,引起了国际国内环保业各界人士的高度关注。在壮观宏大的展览现场,“中意环保,共创未来”的标语格外吸引参展观众的眼球。

EU enterprises: Wait to Invest China's Waste Electronics Recycling Industry

The EU promulgated two waste electrical appliance directives in February 2003. One is the Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronics Equipment (WEEE). It is scheduled to take effect on August 13, 2005.This stipulates that producers, importers and vendors provide deposits for the expenses incurred in the collection, treatment and recycling of waste electrical and electronics products on the EU market. The other is the Directive on the Restriction of Using Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronics Equipment (RoHS). This will ban the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, and chromium (VI) in electrical and electronics products on the EU market as of July 1, 2006. China's waste electronic and household appliance market was boomingly motivated by the two impending directives from EU.

欧盟企业:投资中国废旧电器回收尚需等待时机

        根据欧洲议会和欧盟部长理事会共同批准的《关于报废电子电器设备指令》(WEEE)和《关于在电子电器设备中限制使用某些有害物质指令》(ROHS)规定,自2005年8月13日起,欧盟市场上的电子电器产品生产商必须自行承担报废产品回收、处理及再循环的费用。2006年7月1日起,进入欧盟市场的电子电器产品禁用铅、汞、镉等6类有害物质。随着欧盟两项指令生效日期的迫近,中国的废旧电子电器市场日渐升温。

据国家统计局公布的数据,目前中国电视机的社会保有量达3.5亿台、冰箱1.3亿台、洗衣机1.7亿台。从2003年起,中国每年至少报废500万台电视机、400万台冰箱、600万台洗衣机。除这些传统家电外,目前手机和电脑的保有量也在激增,全社会电脑保有量近2000万台、手机约1.9亿部,约有500万台电脑、上千万部手机将进入淘汰期。在庞大的自产量外,中国还面临着“洋垃圾”的入侵,有关资料显示,目前...

Suqian Municipality, the Pilot City of SWIMER Project

Phase Ⅱ of SWIMER project has entered into the key period of discussing technology and choosing pilot city. On June 20, 2005, Chinese and Italian experts discussed the work of Phase Ⅱ of SWIMER project such as data collection, model integration, study area, pilot city, job allocation, coordination etc. Meanwhile, they agreed on new work plan, choosing Suqian as the pilot city of SWIMER project and so on.

While the closing remark, the representatives from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Ministry of Water Resources, China Institute of Water Resources & Hydropower Research, Chinese Meteorological Administration and Italian expert group demonstrated by powerpoint about the technical achievements and the future work plan.

SWIMER项目选定宿迁为试点地区

        SWIMER项目第二阶段工作已进入技术讨论和试点地区选择的关键时期。2005年6月20日,中意双方专家组共21人就SWIMMER 项目第二阶段的数据搜集、 模型结合、研究区域、 试点地区、分工与进度协调等工作进行了总结,同时也对新的工作计划以及选定宿迁作为SWIMER项目的试点地区等事项达成共识。


         总结会上,中国社会科学院、水利部、水科院、气象局等中方项目参与机构和意大利专家组分别派代表对已取得的技术成果和下一步工作计划进行了POWERPOINT演示。
