China-EU High Level Forum on Science and Technology Strategy was held in the Great Hall of the People, Beijing. This is an important event launched to mark the 30th anniversary of Sino-EU diplomatic ties, jointly initiated by Ministry of Science and Technology of China, EU Science and Technology Commission and the government of Luxemburg, EU's "rotary chairman country".

——中欧科技战略高层论坛上发言

        2005年5月12-13日，“中欧科技战略高层论坛”在北京人民大会堂举行，这是中国科技部、欧盟委员会科研总司、卢森堡大公国政府（欧盟主席国）共同举办的一项作为庆祝中欧建交30周年的重要活动。中国国务委员陈至立致开幕辞，欧盟委员Janez Potocnik、中国科技部部长徐冠华、卢森堡副首相Jean Asselborn和中国外交部副部长张业遂做了主题演讲。

        论坛的主题是“新世界科技发展与中欧科技合作”，分为发展战略、产业研发、政策、科学、人才与制度、国际合作六个专题进行研讨，共有30多场报告及讨论，旨在探讨中欧在科技合作方面建立以知识为基础的战略伙伴关系。意大利环境与领土部环境研究与发展司司长科拉多•科里尼在论坛上做了题为“中欧战略伙伴关系框架内的中意环保合作”的发言。

Conference on project results of Eco-Survey in Typical Areas in Central China held in Beijing

May 14, 2005 Beijing

The Italian Ministry for the Environmental and Territory (IMET) and State Environmental Protection Administration of China (SEPA) jointly held a conference titled "Eco-Survey in Typical Regions in China: Project Results and Future Opportunities". Guest speakers were senior officials of both sides. Dr. Corrado Clini, Director General of Department for Environmental Research and Development of IMET, introduced the cooperation program between Italy and China in environmental protection sectors. Mr. Zhu Guangyao, Vice Minister of SEPA gave high comments on the Sino-Italian Cooperation Program for Environmental Protection. The conference was presided by Mr. Liu Yi, Director General of Foreign Economic Cooperation Office of SEPA. Also invited present include representatives from IMET, SEPA, China Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, Italian Embassy in China, Italian Trade Commission (ICE), Italian CETMA Consortium and University of Genova as well as experts from relevant project implementing agencies and local environmental protection bureaus.

“中国典型地区生态环境调查与评估项目”报告会在京举行

        2005年5月14日，国家环境保护总局和意大利环境与领土部在北京联合召开“中国典型地区生态环境调查与评估：项目成果与合作机会”的报告会。国家环境保护总局副局长祝光耀出席并发言，意大利环境与领土部环境研究与发展司司长科拉多．科里尼就中意环保合作进行了介绍，国家环保总局对外合作中心主任刘亿主持了会议。参加本次会议的还包括来自中国国家环境保护总局（SEPA）、中国环境科学研究院、意大利环境与领土部（IMET）、意大利驻华使馆、意大利对外贸易委员会、意大利CETMA合作集团、意大利热那亚大学等机构的代表，以及有关项目实施单位、地方环保局及专家。

Training program in Italy helps China advance environmental policy and technology

On May 22, 2005, the forth batch of training participants attending the Training Program on Eco-Management (II) rounded off their two-week training session in Italy, which marks the close of the Training Program (II) jointly held by the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Territory (IMET), Venice International University (VIU) and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).

The Training Program (II) has been implemented in China and Italy. The session in China was held in Beijing from October 17 to 24, 2004. The sessions in Italy were carried out in four batches in December 2004 and January, February and May 2005 respectively. The four batches focus on different topics, i.e. Water Pollution, Urban Sustainable Development and Eco-Building, Energy Efficiency and Waste Management respectively.

——中意生态管理高级培训班第二期第四批培训特别报道

2005年5月21日，中意“生态管理高级培训班（第二期）”第四批培训班结束了在意大利为期两周的学习与参观考察。至此，由意大利环境与领土部、威尼斯国际大学和中国社会科学院三方共同举办的“生态管理：战略与政策”高级培训班（第二期）”（2004-2005年度培训）顺利结束。

第二期培训在中国和意大利两地进行。北京的培训于2004年10月18日至24日举行。意大利的培训分四批，每批培训时间为两周，四批的主题分别为水污染治理、城市可持续发展和生态建筑、节能和垃圾管理，分别于2004年12月、2005月年1月、2月与5月结束。
